This is for anyone who has an interest in Art, Textiles, craft or design and I hope to showcase different artists and designers to inspire you.

I am a Teacher and practising artist and I enjoy all aspects of creating and making things. I grew up in an age (the 1970s) when we were thankfully not beset by technology, so much, if not all my time was spent in adventures of my and my sister’s making. We were always creating something, whether it was a den in the woods or birthday cards for family and that has really stayed with me in to alleged adulthood.

I am a firm believer in the “everything can be reused and repurposed” mantra and like nothing better than breathing new life into something someone else might chuck out…re-cycling everything is a way of life – I am kind of a cross between Bagpuss and The Wombles (nice 70s reference…Look them up on the web!)

So have a rummage. You might find forgotten treasure or unearth something new and shiny…There is plenty to choose from and hopefully you will be inspired to create ideas of your own or it might engender a love for something that lasts a lifetime.
